What this covers
What does a technical SEO audit include for a casino site?
Crawl budget, index bloat from mirrors and bonus pages, hreflang, Core Web Vitals on landers, and the junk sitemaps that gambling stacks accumulate. If Googlebot is busy with expired promotions, it is not busy with the queries that deposit.
How is content planned when affiliates already rank?
Operator sites win when they own intent that a review site cannot: product, payments, in-play, game rules, responsible-gambling destinations. MOTIV does not write the tenth 'best slots 2026' list and hope.
What link acquisition is still worth doing?
Digital PR and genuine industry citations beat leftover blog networks. We will not manufacture a link graph that a manual action can wipe. If a market's only path is paid links, that is a paid-acquisition problem wearing an SEO hat.
How do multi-market sites avoid cannibalising themselves?
One intent, one URL, one language-region. Folders and ccTLDs are chosen for the licence story, not for the SEO fashion of the year. Internally, spokes link to hubs with descriptive anchors — the same rule this site uses.
Where does SEO meet creative and paid?
The queries paid media already converts should not be ignored organically, and the landers that win in ads often win in search if they are indexable. SEO at MOTIV links to paid acquisition and to creative production so the message does not fork.
How it's measured
| KPI | What it tells you | When we act on it |
|---|---|---|
| Organic FTDs | First-time deposits from non-paid search. | Act when FTDs stall while sessions rise — the content is entertaining the wrong people. |
| Qualified landing CTR | Clicks on queries with deposit intent. | Act when impressions grow on informational terms that never cash. |
| Index coverage | Share of intended URLs actually serving. | Act on explosion of soft-404 bonus pages. |
| Organic CPA proxy | SEO cost over organic FTDs in the window. | Act when the line is more expensive than paid for the same intent. |
What the first 90 days look like
- Days 1–21: technical baseline, query map vs current rankings, cannibalisation, hreflang and duplicate-bonus audit.
- Days 22–45: fix crawl waste, ship the first cluster of operator-owned pages, redirect the dead promotions.
- Days 46–75: measure organic FTD, not just rankings. Kill pages that attract traffic that never reaches cashier.
- Days 76–90: 90-day organic CPA vs paid CPA on overlapping intent. Decide which queries paid should stop renting.
Common failure modes
Publishing through the bonus calendar
Fifty near-duplicate promo URLs teach the index that the site is a leaflet, not a product. Consolidate. Date pages that expire should expire in the sitemap too.
Buying links instead of fixing the product pages
Authority on a slow, untranslated cashier help page still loses. The operators who rank in this vertical usually have both: a site that answers the query and a graph that looks like a real company.
Reporting rankings to a board that asked for deposits
Position 3 on a brand term is not a result. Organic FTD is. If the SEO deck cannot show deposits, the square should shrink until it can.
